My matron of honor (before she was that, of course), sent out private secondary invitations (in addition to the real ones) to a select few of those of us who would get the joke: it was all about inviting us to the Promotion Ceremony of the Boss’ Floozy. It was all based on a joke that came about from their courtship days, & your first “invitation” above forcibly reminded me of it – thanks!
