Iran To Obama – Raspberries

We were just absolutely sure that Iran would be real happy to talk to The Messiah, weren’t we?

Reacting to President Obama’s call for the Iranians to “unclench their fist”, Mr Ahmadinejad called for the United States to apologise to the Iranian people “and try to repair their past bad acts and the crimes they committed against Iran”.

He added: “If someone wants to talk with us in the language that (President) Bush used … even if he uses new words, our response will be the same that we gave to Bush during the past years.”

So Ahmadinacrazy has completely absolved the Bush Derangement Syndrome verbiage.  And he has a simple starting point for the lovely new sparkly diplomacy:

As proof of the desire for change, Mr Ahmadinejad said that the US should withdraw its troops from conflict zones around the world and “stop supporting the Zionists, outlaws and criminals.”

Dump Iran, Afganistan, Israel – I assume this means to provide active support as Iran make sure to kill anybody who opposes it anywhere in the world.  See – diplomacy is soooooo easy.

Hollywood Tolerance – Jon Voight To Be Dismembered

Holy cow – can you say “dissent is patriotic”?  Jon Voight says this:

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there’s not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.

And those dissent loving minons of progressivism come up with this very reasoned response:

It’s my intention to point out with delicious, delicious schadenfreude that Republicans are so hopelessly adrift that they are now resigned to soliciting quasi-intelligible screeds from discharged old actors with closets full of browned pants and boogeymen.

and caring understanding and support of dissent like:

OK, Jon Boy, you just turned “mildly amusing in deluded old senior fashion” and went full bore into p@ss me the f@@k OFF mode. You stupid sh@t, your g@dd@mned Repubilcan’ts and their “Corporations and the Wealthy First and Only, F@@k the Rest of The World” way of running things ruined America economically, defensively, judicially, in education and on the world platform.

but at least they respect his right to disagree with them.

Obamamessiah on Iraq

Barack on Iraq:

January 2007—“And until we acknowledge that reality, uh, we can send 15,000 more troops; 20,000 more troops; 30,000 more troops. Uh, I don’t know any, uh, expert on the region or any military officer that I’ve spoken to, uh, privately that believes that that is gonna make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground.”

July 2007—“Here’s what we know. The surge has not worked. And they said today, ‘Well, even in September, we’re going to need more time.’ So we’re going to kick this can all the way down to the next president, under the president’s plan… My assessment is that the surge has not worked and we will not see a different report eight weeks from now.”

September 2007—“After putting an additional 30,000 troops in… we have gone from a horrendous situation of violence in Iraq to the same intolerable levels of violence that we had back in June of 2006. So, essentially, after all this we’re back where we were 15 months ago… It is a course that will not succeed.”

January 2008—“I had no doubt, and I said when I opposed the surge, that given how wonderfully our troops perform, if we place 30,000 more troops in there, then we would see an improvement in the security situation and we would see a reduction in the violence.”

Now: “What I said was even at the time of the debate of the surge, was if you put 30,000 troops in, of course it’s going to have an impact. There’s no doubt about that.”

And John Hawkins has a great piece at Townhall.com with other choice quotes from the Dumbocrats.

Quote of the Day

Via Jammie Wearin Fool:

Men—-Don’t ever think that the kids running around on some university campuses protesting, breaking things and whining have anything on you. You are privileged to have that one advantage that all covet—you will know – about the goings on in Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, the Philippines, the Balkans and many other places. Your head will not be filled with the empty theory of those who—in actuality know very little because they lack the intestinal fortitude to commit to anything which requires risk. I’m speaking of the snide, arrogant sort who spend all day blaming America for every wrong in the world before going home to sleep at night under that blanket of freedom provided by better men—-men like you.

The Hitler Comparison Is Out – For Now

Gotta love the way Ann Coulter can skewer the self-important:

After decades of comparing Nixon to Hitler, Reagan to Hitler and Bush to Hitler, liberals have finally decided it is wrong to make comparisons to Hitler. But the only leader to whom they have applied their newfound rule of thumb is: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

While Ahmadinejad has not done anything as starkly evil as cut the capital gains tax, he does deny the Holocaust, call for the destruction of Israel, deny the existence of gays in Iran and refuses to abandon his nuclear program despite protests from the United Nations. That’s the only world leader we’re not allowed to compare to Hitler.

And the ditz who wants to be President and thinks talking to a kook like this with no pre-conditions is just fine?

Liberals view talk as an end in itself. They never think through how these talks will proceed, which is why Chamberlain ended up giving away Czechoslovakia. He didn’t leave for Munich planning to do that. It is simply the inevitable result of talking with madmen without a clear and obtainable goal. Without a stick, there’s only a carrot.

The only explanation for liberals’ hysterical zealotry in favor of Obama’s proposed open-ended talks with Ahmadinejad is that they seriously imagine crazy foreign dictators will be as charmed by Obama as cable TV hosts whose legs tingle when they listen to Obama (a condition that used to be known as “sciatica”).

Because, really, who better to face down a Holocaust denier with a messianic complex than the guy who is afraid of a debate moderated by Brit Hume?

You go girl!

Chucklehead Media Maven

Rescued from captivity where he was essentially starved. And his reaction?

CBS News journalist Richard Butler said he believes he was kidnapped in Iraq by policemen with sympathies toward the Hezbollah but isn’t entirely sure who held him captive for two months or why.

Butler, a British journalist kidnapped with his interpreter on Feb. 10, was rescued by Iraqi troops on April 14 when he was found with a sack over his head in a house in Basra.

Butler said he felt it was better to be kidnapped in Iraq then taken into custody by Americans in Afghanistan.

“I was pleased I wasn’t being mortarboarded in Guantanamo or being held for six and a half years like an Al-Jazeera cameraman, for instance,” he said.

I tend to believe that mortarboarding is just someone misunderstanding waterboarding – unless the CIA has come up with a way to pound gypsum dust into the noses of these murdering turds at Gitmo.

But could there be any greater representation of the absolute anti-Americanism of the media?  And then they will 100% deny any sort of bias in their reporting.  Honestly – its too bad they found this idiot.  Better to let him experience the tender mercies of the Hezbos.

Update:

It was waterboarding – went to cbsnews:

Pizzey: You were saying it is better to be kidnapped by Shi’ites in southern Iraq than by Americans in Afghanistan.

Butler: I was pleased I wasn’t being waterboarded in Guantanamo or being held for six and a half years like an al Jazeera cameraman, for instance.

He’s still an anti-American donk too.
