Money Bomb for Mark Rubio

Senator Jim DeMint is running a money bomb for Florida Senate candidate Mark Rubio.  This is important for two reasons.

1 – Mark Rubio is running against a classic RINO in Charlie Crist – the current governor of Florida.  While Mark has gone ahead in the polls, we need to keep the pressure on for him in order to block andy comeback by Charlie Crist.

2 – Jim DeMint is getting a lot of pressure from the Republican Party mukety-mucks about his support of Mark Rubio.  Charlie Crist was the “chosen one” by the Senate Republican Committee – and the fact that one of their own is going against the Party leadership means that we need to support Jim DeMint in order to show him and the leaders that we are not going to put up with RINOs any more.

Please give what you can – and I have myself.

Update: they have blown past 100K and are closing in on $150K.  Please help out if you can.

They Were Here Just A Minute Ago

The State of Florida is looking for something.  18,000 buildings that it owns, but doesn’t seem to be able to put their hands on right now:

The State of Florida is looking for help finding something you’d think would be hard to lose: approximately 18,000 buildings, owned by the taxpayers of Florida, that state officials can’t quite put their fingers on. What’s more, state officials say they don’t have the people to hunt them down, so they want to use tax money to hire an outside company to find each building Florida has misplaced.

Could there be any better example of how government has gotten too big?  And this is just 1 of 50 states.  And if the Federal Government were asked to produce a list of all the buildings it owns?

But remember – government is short of money – they always, always, always, always need more.

Culture of Death Defined

What happened:

Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn’t arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

This is very similar to a situation that Our New President, The Most Holy and Chosen Egoness, voted on 3 times in the Illinois State Senate.  And his answer was very simple – the woman came to kill the baby, the baby should die.  And that seems to have been the answer in this case:

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic’s owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant’s umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.

Please explain to me why people on BOTH sides of the abortion debate are shocked by this.  Why wouldn’t pro-choicers stand up and say “What’s so bad about this?  Its the object of an abortion – its just a lifeless clump of cells and its no one’s business but this knocked up 18-year old. ”  I don’t think that both sides of the abortion debate are shocked at all.  I think that the pro-abortion bunch is simply mad that this information got out.

The complaint says one of the clinic owners, Belkis Gonzalez came in and cut the umbilical cord with scissors, then placed the baby in a plastic bag, and the bag in a trash can.

Williams’ lawsuit offers a cruder account: She says Gonzalez knocked the baby off the recliner chair where she had given birth, onto the floor. The baby’s umbilical cord was not clamped, allowing her to bleed out. Gonzalez scooped the baby, placenta and afterbirth into a red plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

The only problem from the abortionists point of view is that this disposal of a baby happened outside the woman’s uterus rather than inside it.  The object of the exercise was a dead baby in a plastic bag.

And no quibbling about what was inside of this woman’s womb.  The article notes:

At 23 weeks, an otherwise healthy fetus would have a slim but legitimate chance of survival. Quadruplets born at 23 weeks last year at The Nebraska Medical Center survived.

This was the planned murder of a baby.  The real tragedy is that had this “doctor” shown up on time and performed his murder while it was inside the woman it would simply be called “choice”.  And that choice happens all the time in America, every day.

There’s lots and lots of lood on the hands of “abortion providers”, and Harry Blackmun will be washing his hands of it forever.

McCain Promises Eternal Dependence on Foreign Oil

Wind farms, Magic Beans, and Love will give us our future energy! Way to go Ace
clipped from minx.cc
“No drilling in ANWR, nor in the Everglades, nor off the coast of Florida, nor off the coast of Florida… If states want to have drilling off their coast, as Louisiana does, that’s their right.
Some might consider this a dishonest “shuck and jive” pander to fuzzy-headed independents who think our energy woes can be solved by wind farms and Magic Beans.
Not so. This is Maverick talking here. This is the truth, straight up no chaser. We can miracle our asses into energy independence by continuing to pour billions into boondoggle “green sources” of energy.
He went on to promise that “before the end of my presidency, Detroit will produce a car that runs on love.

McCain’s lying here. Alaskans want ANWR tapped. Trouble is, the Federal government owns the land in question. It’s the Federal government making the decision to not drill in this Pristine Ecologically-Sensitive Wasteland and not the state itself.
