Everything Belongs to Government – They Will Decide What You Get

This is apparently a straightforward proposal from a supposedly “free” country:

The UK’s tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.

Of course, this presupposes:

  • all money belongs to government
  • all taxpayers are cheats who are keeping the government from all the money they are owed
  • only government can understand what part of your money you actually need
  • increasing taxes will be very simple with this system
  • you are a groveling peasant who owes your very existence to the state

Would anybody please explain how this is much different from communism?  Shoot – even Cuba is cutting people off the government payrolls.  But this supposedly “free” “Western” “free market” country could actually propose this as any action government would be allowed to perform?

Well Britain has been circling the drain for a long time, if they actually do this you can simply write them off as lost to civilization.

Wealth Spread – Low Effort, High Taxes

Thanks to the People’s Cube for again nailing this one

“Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed “more and more for fulfilling the American dream.”
“It’s not that I want to punish your success,” Obama responded. “I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
“So instead of cutting taxes with a kitchen knife we’ll butter it up with wealth and spread it around like we earned it,” the Democratic candidate continued. “It’s a patented foreign blend that is guaranteed to help improve my standing in the polls, but it’s made with 100% pure American taxpayer sweat, which once again shows how taxes can be patriotic.”
“What’s not to vote for?” Obama finished as he was cheered on by a group of supporters wearing blue pins with the Obama logo and the words “Journalists for Obama.”

The Merrill Lynch Marxist

Here’s an obituary from the Democratic Communist People’s Republic Pravda:

Third-party political activist Peter Camejo, a perennial candidate for state and national office who helped pioneer the financial market niche of socially responsible investments, died Saturday. He was 68.

He helped found the California Green Party in 1991 and ran three times for governor of California. He also ran as independent Ralph Nader’s vice presidential running mate in the 2004 presidential election in which President Bush won a second term. In 1976 he ran for president as the Socialist Workers Party candidate.

Mr. Camejo described himself as a watermelon – red on the inside, green on the outside.

OK – so here’s somebody who was admittedly a Communist/Socialist – who actually RAN as the Socialist Workers Party candidate for President in 1976.  Now who was running from the Democrat side in 1976? Here’s a little tidbit from the current Socialist Workers Party obit:

Peter used the campaign to fight for the idea that the great historical stumbling block to the building of any genuine revolutionary alternative organization was the misplaced hope that the Democratic Party could be taken over by the left and used as a vehicle to advance toward socialism.

Surprisingly, even among socialists in the U.S. in the 1960s and 1970s, this idea was in the minority, as the Communist Party, many Maoist groups and the forerunners of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)–Sen. Bernie Sanders being their most prominent member–backed Democrat Jimmy Carter for president.

So this person who believed that the Democrats were too “reactionary” to implement a true revolution in the United States then does what?  Well, first he decides to get a job with Merrill Lynch:

Matt Gonzalez, a former San Francisco supervisor who is running for vice president with Nader as an independent, said that Mr. Camejo once told him that when he interviewed for his job at Merrill Lynch, “the only thing that was true on my resume was my name and phone number.”

And he ended up his life as a capitalist fund manager – but it was GREEN!

Mr. Camejo earned his living as a financier and helped start an investment firm, Progressive Management Asset Inc. in Oakland. Clients can arrange their portfolios so that their investments, for example, are not linked to animal testing, weapons or sweatshop labor.

So we say adieu to someone who provably spent his life working for the overthrow of America and Democracy.  And please note – founder of the California Green Party.  A self-described Watermelon.  Thereby giving us further information about why opposing the EcoFreaks is also a good idea.

Someone who’s whole life was given over to everything I personally oppose.  And will continue to work in opposition.

And this self-described environmentalist fraud and communist is lauded in the pages of a “major” newspaper?  Sort of tells one where their sensibilities lie too.

They are Both Economic Nincompoops

Basic economics people – trade is a win/win – now if only somebody would tell the two major party Presidential candidates:

McCain and Obama talk constantly about how much they will “invest” — with money taken from the taxpayers, of course — to achieve energy independence. “[W]e can provide loan guarantees and venture capital to those with the best plans to develop and sell biofuels on a commercial market,” Obama said.

What makes Obama think he’s qualified to pick the “best plans”? It’s the robust competition of the free market that reveals what’s best. Obama’s program would preempt the only good method we have for learning which form of energy is best.

And John McCain seems to be no better:

McCain promises a $300-million prize to whoever develops a battery for an electric car. But the free market already provides plenty of incentive to invent a better battery. As George Mason University economist Donald Boudreaux writes, “Anyone who develops such a device will earn profits dwarfing $300 million simply by selling it on the market. There’s absolutely no need for any such taxpayer-funded prize“.

Central energy planning and government-funded prizes are economic idiocy.

Obama – Not An Earthling!

The People’s Cube blows the lid off this major story that the dead-stream media is not reporting:

In another distraction meant to keep American voters away from the real issues, Fox News channel announced today that the GOP is in possession of a birth certificate proving beyond doubt that Barack Obama’s real birthplace is, in fact, planet Lappa IV, located in the Alpha Quadrant and inhabited by a splinter group of the Ferengi species, who have developed a highly collectivist culture based on the principles of socialist acquisition and redistribution of wealth

Looking back, one can only wonder at the mainstream media’s unblinking acceptance of Obama as a 100% Earthling, despite even such obvious clues as his big earlobes, a supernatural fundraising ability, and his campaign logo that resembles the emblem of the Ferengi Alliance.

The Lappian Rules of Socialist Acquisition are similar to the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, but are more focused on sacred collectivist rules of behavior, which, combined with the entrepreneurial spirit of the Ferengi species, uniquely qualifies them to handle Democrat Party fundraisers.

Although the history of Lappian presence on Earth is unclear, it is known that Lappian children are required to memorize Rules of Socialist Acquisition as part of their general education to become consummate Democrat Party operatives, strategists, and consultants. It is said that the earliest Rule of Socialist Acquisition was penned by Karl Marx, who was also a Ferengi from Lappa IV.

The Rules of Socialist Acquisition
(a representative sample)

  1. To each according to his ability to work the system.
  2. Compassion without coercion is useless.
  3. The vast majority of the rich in this galaxy are undertaxed.
  4. All we want is what’s yours.
  5. Monopoly is evil unless the government runs it.
  6. Never be afraid to mislabel an opponent.
  7. Be clean, articulate, and non-threatening.
  8. When in doubt, throw a friend under the bus.
  9. A liberal without guilt is no liberal at all.
  10. When someone says, “I’m not a racist,” he’s lying.
  11. Entitlements and handouts will always overcome freedom and opportunity.
  12. Integrity is no substitute for campaign cash.
  13. Make sure your campaign cash doesn’t cost you more than it is really worth.
  14. Beware of relatives giving speeches.
  15. The most beautiful thing about the environment is that you can turn it into an election issue.
  16. Citing Global Warming yields more cash than pointing a gun.

Many more are listed at the People’s Cube who also have an interesting photo of the creator of the rules:

Green Communism

Owning a car opens up possibilities to a person that is beyond their reach otherwise, it opens up a freedom that many millions do not currently enjoy. The ability to find work at further distances from their homes than ever gives them more choices to find lucrative employment opportunities, the ability to find markets and entertainments are also greatly expanded. All this greatly expands individual freedom. If many millions more of the people of India (and around the world) find themselves able to afford this new car, it will incredibly improve their standard of living. It will also force the government to redirect their own efforts to internal improvements to accommodate this rise in cars that will add even more to raising the standard of living in once poor countries.

Green communists do not care about people and these two stories add to the ever growing proof that enviro-communists have gravitated to environmentalism as a replacement for an overt espousal of communist ideals.

If you need any more proof that the concept of Global Warming is less “science” and is more just a replacement for the kind of failed concepts of communism and socialism that is increasingly being rejected by the world, two recent stories helps clarify the point.

In a piece titled “Deadly Ozone From Drive-Thru Mania,” our Miss Hastings pours out her considerable “intellect” into the theory that drive thru windows are destroying the planet and making us a bunch of fatties.
Yeah, it’s all because of … you guessed it… capitalism. Her solution, of course, is to put an end to all this capitalism stuff like all good communists aim to do.
Isn’t this great news? Not to the communists of Greenpeace who are protesting this new product. Green communists are attempting to forever keep the poor in the grinding poverty in which they currently wallow.
Their pals in the media are happy to fan the flames of alarmism over the supposed “global disaster” of this incredible new freedom-promoting car.
