Obama Latest Endorsement – Fidel!

So another communist dictator for Barry:

HAVANA (Reuters) – Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Monday called Democrat Barack Obama the candidate most advanced on social issues running for U.S. president but said his speech on Cuba last week was a “formula for hunger.”

In one of his periodic newspaper columns published in Communist Party newspaper Granma, Castro said he had “no personal rancor” toward Obama, but “if I defended him I would do a huge favor for his adversaries.”

A interesting internal email has surfaced – well, interesting only in the fact that is re-affirms the CNN bias:

Some points on Castro – for adding to our anchor reads/reporting:

* Please say in our reporting that Castro stepped down in a letter he wrote to Granma (the communist party daily), as opposed to in a letter attributed to Fidel Castro. We have no reason to doubt he wrote his resignation letter, he has penned numerous articles over the past year and a half.

* Please note Fidel did bring social reforms to Cuba – namely free education and universal health care, and racial integration. in addition to being criticized for oppressing human rights and freedom of speech.

* Also the Cuban government blames a lot of Cuba’s economic problems on the US embargo, and while that has caused some difficulties, (far less so than the collapse of the Soviet Union) the bulk of Cuba’s economic problems are due to Cuba’s failed economic polices. Some analysts would say the US embargo was a benefit to Castro politically – something to blame problems on, by what the Cubans call “the imperialist,” meddling in their affairs.

* While despised by some, he is seen as a revolutionary hero, especially with leftist in Latin America, for standing up to the United States.

Any questions, please call the international desk.

Hillary Beaten, Jailed For Anti-Bush Activities

Sort of makes the hysterical cries of the BDS crowd look like the rantings they actually are, doesn’t it?

IOWA – A day after Russian police beat up and arrested the opposition leader Garry Kasparov, the Bush Administration followed suit and ordered a beating and arrest of Hillary Clinton, Ushanka news agency reports. Former First Lady Hillary Clinton was picked up and sentenced to five days in prison on Sunday, during a campaign stop in Iowa that ended in clashes with police. One of Bush’s harshest critics, she was charged with organizing an unsanctioned procession, chanting pro-Big-Government slogans and resisting arrest, court documents said.

Third World leaders find Bush’s attack on America’s freedoms alarming.

Hillary’s coalition, which includes radicals, Democrats, and Nixon-era dissidents, has drawn wide media coverage but generated little public support. Its ranks have expanded, though, as more foreign dictators complain that officials have excluded them from freely contesting the upcoming U.S. elections.
