So maybe it could be said, “anything the government gives you today came from the common store; another time, it will be your turn to contribute to the common store.” It could also be said, “any tax holiday given to a business as an incentive is taken from someone else’s pocket.” A fair and balanced slogan would pit “incentive” vs. “entitlement” every time.
