Australian Police – Wimps or Whiners?
Aside from the usual stupidity of criminals, can anyone tell me what is wrong with this news story?
Warwick Police Station has again been the target of a brazen attack, with tyres on seven cars slashed in the early hours of this morning.
Two marked vehicles, three unmarked cars and two officers’ personal cars had their tyres slashed in the compound of Warwick Police Station some time between midnight and 6.20am this morning.

Note the key word ‘again’ in this report. This is the second time somebody has attacked cars at the police station:
The incident comes eight weeks after an attack that saw two privately-owned cars at the station set alight with what police believed was a Molotov cocktail.
Of course, its pretty stupid to come back to the scene of a crime. Especially to a police station. That organization created to investigate crimes, with specialized training in investigation and with the full force of the state behind it to find and detain criminals. Like those who attack cars and destroy them. Or at least one would think so. Just about anywhere in the world attacking the police is the stupidest thing a criminal can do. They are the biggest gang around and they can find you and punish you.
But apparently not in Australia, or at least this part of Western Australia. Here, they whine on about closed circuit tv and lighting:
WA Police Union president Mike Dean said security at the station had not been prioritised by Premier Colin Barnett.
“There just seems to be absolutely no urgency about upgrading security at this active station,” he said.
“And here we have another incident a mere eight weeks after the Premier pledged to boost security at the facility.”
He said making the station car park compound secure would not be an “expensive fix”.
“All that is needed is the installation of CCTV and an electronic gate at an estimated amount of up to $20,000 to make this area secure,” he said.
Now this is the union spokesman (we can get into the whole idea of unionized police as government idiocy at another level later), but here’s an idea. You are the fracking POLICE! How about you go out and crack some skulls and find out who did this and put them in the pokey for a couple of decades? With some nice broken limbs thrown in as a bonus? Teaching the criminals that it is not allowed to even think about attacking the police would go a long way toward ensuring that your job is easier all around.
I have absolutely no experience with Australia other than a very pleasant visit there a couple of years ago. We were treated very politely and had a wonderful time everywhere we went. However, Australia is overrun with politically correctness. Especially the enviroKooks and the minions of the Great and Powerful Algore. They are very, very, very, very, very guilty about the treatment of the Aborigines and never stop bashing themselves and their culture. They just turfed out their very successful Conservative Prime Minister and replaced him with a socialist who immediately promised to bow down to the UN and Kyoto.
And apparently they have police who are so wimpy they can’t even go out and find people who attack their very own cars.

Are British Politicians All Idiots?
Let’s see – The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom thinks this:
Gordon Brown wants to see petrol-driven cars off the roads within 12 years as evidence that Britain can break its addiction to oil.
The Prime Minister, hailing a climate change agreement by world leaders at the G8 summit in Japan yesterday, insisted all new vehicles could be powered by electric or hybrid engines by 2020.
The driving force to achieve that goal, he suggested, would be fuel costs and road taxes.
So in 12 years the Brits will essentially be back where they were in the Middle Ages – the aristocrats and politicans will be driving their hybrids and electro-cars while the peasants walk or ride donkeys or some such. Isn’t it interesting that he thinks that high fuel costs and raising the taxes on any road use is a really GOOD thing and that the peasants should be happy?
But when your “environment minister” (what a crock – jobs for the boyos?) says this?
A Cabinet minister welcomed spiralling petrol prices last night as an incentive for drivers to make fewer car journeys.
Environment Secretary Hilary Benn said the high cost of oil helps force people off the road and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
He also launched a robust defence of road tax rises for more than 9million cars - insisting it was right that they should also apply to second-hand vehicles.
Or what about this lunacy?
Police made the astonishing admission yesterday that they have given up even trying to catch thousands of burglars.
Just days after the Lord Chancellor Lord Irvine insisted that the public don’t want to see many house-breakers jailed, officers have been told not to bother investigating many offences.
That means there must be clear evidence pointing towards a suspect such as DNA traces, fingerprints or a possible identity, which makes an arrest likely.
In other cases, unless there are “special factors” – such as an elderly victim or if it is a repeat attack – no effort will be made to track down the criminal.
It means a huge number of cases of robbery, violent crime, car crime, sex offences – all of which saw rises in the latest crime figures – as well as burglary, will be left to gather dust.
OK – the curtain has rung down on Britain as a place where good, normal people live. Those of you there who want to live in a place where your politicians think that making the cost of living unbearable while simultaneously refusing to protect you deserve what you get. Everybody else – we need people who want to work hard.
And there are a few people left in Britain who realize this too:
While Gordon Brown prattles about wind turbines, and plays silly games for the cameras with electric cars, Britain within a few years is facing the near certainty of a massive shortfall in our electricity supplies.
By 2015, thanks to the obsolescence of our nuclear power plants and the forced closure of nine of our major coal and oil-fired power stations under EU anti-pollution rules, we are due to lose 40 per cent of our current generating capacity – and Mr Brown hasn’t the slightest practical idea of how to fill the gap.
Forget the nonsense about a 50 per cent cut in carbon emissions by 2050. Our Government has already committed Britain to go even further, by imposing a statutory cut of 60 per cent through its Climate Change Bill.
But long before that, unless those who rule us come down out of cloud cuckoo land very fast, our lights will go out, our computers will shut down, our economy will judder to a halt and we shall face a national catastrophe. We may well be meeting that 60 per cent target sooner than we think – but not for reasons that reflect well on our politicians, of any party.
Two Personal Socialists Shot – Family Upset
Could there be anything that exemplifies the breakdown of morals in America than the fact that the grandparents of one of these two little thugs would say:
“He should not have taken the law in his hands,” said Rosa Jones, Gadson’s grandmother.
Her husband, Ivory Jones, also condemned the media for its portrayal of Lovell’s actions.”I don’t condone what they did, (but) I definitely don’t condone the news people making him out to seem like they’re making a hero out of this man because he shot somebody down,” he said.
This is what happened:
According to Plantation police, two armed men barged into the Subway at 1949 Pine Island Road shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, demanding money from the employee behind the counter. When they tried to force John Lovell into the bathroom, he pulled out a gun and shot both men, police said.
Donicio Arrindell, 22, was shot in the head and later died at the hospital. Fredrick Gadson, 21, was shot in the chest and ran from the Subway, but police found him in hiding in some bushes on the property of a nearby BankAtlantic.
Lovell, 71, was the lone customer at the time. Police said he had a concealed weapons permit.
So these self-appointed socialists are waving a gun around, demanding money, and try to force a 71 year old man into the bathroom. Unfortunately for these fine upstanding specimens of their community the man is a former Marine, has a gun, and decides that enough is enough. Seems very straightforward to anyone with half a brain.
But their grandparents come out and say he shouldn’t have shot them? That’s the part that just freezes me in slackjawed disbelief. If these idiots had any moral sense and raised their child and grandchild with the idea that pointing guns at people and demanding money isn’t civilized or very safe – well, maybe their thug of a grandson wouldn’t be in the hospital. And facing decades in jail.
But I know the problem. The grandparents weren’t given parenting classes that told them that stealing and threatening an old man and pointing guns at people weren’t OK things. They just assumed that since nobody told them this was untrue, they didn’t then pass this wisdom along to their childrena and grandchildren – thereby making it all…….
George W Bush’s fault.
And the nice old man who shot them? Well, he’s a Marine. It sounds like he was willing to let them steal the money and get away till these two feces-brained slackers decided to threaten him directly. I wish he’d taken out both of them – now its going to cost the taxpayers of Florida lots of money to incarcerate the one left alive.

Here’s Effective Policing
Just why does Oslo have a police force if this is all they do?
A new report by the justice minister, Knut Storberget, shows that 99.2 percent of all serious robberies on the streets of Oslo are never solved.
Last year, 11,033 crimes were reported, but just 80 were solved.
And the wave of robberies is increasing rapidly. Yesterday 33 people were the victims of serious crimes in Oslo. In the first three months of 2008, serious robberies in public places have increased by 10 percent.
Many city officials blame the increase in crime on begging and prostitution by people from other lands, mostly Eastern Europe.
A ban on begging in the streets was lifted in 2005.
But while the criminals go free, the politicians and police argue about what can be done. City Council head Erling Lae has sent a letter to the justice minister asking that “pågående” (insistent, or aggressive) begging and prostitution be forbidden.
Aggressive Prostitution? Well, Oslo is a nice liberal place now – with a crime rate four times that of New York City. It just seems that being a law-abiding citizen and living there isn’t too pleasant. However, since they apparently do nothing to actually prevent any crime or track down any criminals its probably a pretty cushy job to be a policeman there.
Greenpeace – Planting Trees without Approval?
That’s the way I read this story:
Over 1000 trees planted today by 30 Greenpeace volunteers in a central North Island block of land have been pulled out.
The volunteers began at 7.30am today to “re-forest” around 1600 square metres of land that had been cleared for dairy farming.
Greenpeace climate campaigner Simon Boxer said the re-planting campaign was aimed at drawing more attention to the large amounts of forestry land in the Tahorakuri Forest, northeast of Taupo, being converted to dairy farming.
But state owned Landcorp chief executive Chris Kelly which leased the land said the trees had been removed soon after the volunteers left.
“The owners of the land have taken some action, the trees have gone and as I understand it the trees are being donated to a local group,” he said.
Some questions seem to come to mind:
1. Where do these idiots get off just deciding they can come on to land they don’t own and start planting things on it? In America that is known as trespass and is against the law. I guess its different in New Zealand. It seems that something like that is possible based on this:
Greenpeace communications manager Suzette Jackson said police had arrived mid-morning, and warned the volunteers against trespassing further.
“We left then because we weren’t trying to get our team arrested, and we managed to plant all our trees.
2. The owners had to spend money and time to remove all this crap – can they sue Greenpeace to get it back? Would be an interesting test case – but again this would assume that New Zealand has a functioning legal system that actually recognizes personal property.
3. And why is this such a big problem? Apparently its a new front in the war on cow farts.
“It’s not a traditional Greenpeace action. Since we’re just starting to work on the agricultural issues, specially on dairy conversion, we want to start off a lot more calmly.”
Forestry was being replaced with one of the most greenhouse gas-intensive industries possible and emissions in New Zealand were increasing dramatically as a result, he said.
New Mexico – IED and Iraqi Dinars Found
In a stolen car that was actually found by its owner:
The car was reported stolen last week. After the theft, the car’s owner was fueling his motorcycle when he spotted his stolen car.
“While he was refueling his motorcycle, low and behold, the vehicle that he had reported stolen that belongs to him happened to pull into the gas station area also,” said Los Lunas Police Captain Charles Nuanes.
The car’s owner pulled the keys out of the ignition of his stolen car and the people in the car fled.
When police arrived, they found the explosive device and less than $1,000 worth of Iraqi cash.
So we have:
- Explosive device
- Iraqi Dinars (what good they would do in America – well, maybe they are worth more than the dollar now)
- Thieves
- Apparently really stupid thieves
And the conclusion by the FBI? Who might be interested in explosive devices found on American soil:
The FBI is now involved in the theft of a car after it was found in Los Lunas with an explosive device and Iraqi currency inside
FBI agents say that they have ruled out terrorism.
“We don’t know what their intentions were,” said Nuanes. “We don’t know what they were planning on doing with any of this.”
They don’t know the intentions, but there is no terrorism? Either the FBI is really trying to feed us a great big pile of feces or they think we are too stupid to actually understand this. Either way it sure doesn’t raise my confidence in the FBI and their ability to protect us.
Spitzers Low-Priced Whores
Have been identified today:
Disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been identified as a long-standing client of a second high-priced call-girl ring, The Post has learned.
At the center of the new ring is Kristin “Billie” Davis, a busty bottle blonde who hails from a rough-and-tumble California trailer park. She has a reputation for hard-partying, shameless self-promotion and a rumored 10,000-name-long client list.
Davis’ alleged multimillion-dollar empire was smashed by city vice cops as she made plans to skip town. Prosecutors say she netted some $2 million last year by pimping out ladies of the night for as much as $1,000 an hour through four Web sites.
Only a thousand bucks an hour? Its good to know that he wasn’t spending his whole children’s college fund on the high-priced whores. I wonder if this will cause a second wave of “prostitution is a victimless crime” and “what difference does it make if he cheats” stories in the press.
Which Example Would You Prefer to Experience?
From the Anti-Idotarian Rotweiller:
This is what living in a free country is like:Police say two suspects are dead after an attempted home invasion.
Catawba County sheriff’s deputies say two men dressed in black and carrying pistols forced their way into a home on 33rd Avenue in Hickory around 11:00 last night. According to a sheriff’s official, the homeowner was armed with his own gun, and shot the suspects. Both suspects were pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Coy Reid with the sheriff’s office said both men were wearing masks and latex gloves.
This is what living under gun control is like:
WEST COVINA, Calif. (AP) – A woman was asking a 911 dispatcher for help when her pleas were interrupted by gunshots, then silence. She was shot to death.
The woman told the dispatcher someone was trying to break into her home in upscale West Covina, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Dan Rosenberg said. “Deputies heard gunshots followed by silence and an open phone line,” he said.
Deputies arrived at the house, 20 miles east of Los Angeles, a few minutes after Wednesday’s late morning call.
The woman, whose name was not released by police, had been shot several times. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Remember: When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
