Colorado Right

So he gives some speech about judges?  And that means conservatives will just bow down for him?  How about reviewing some actions of Mr. McCain:

• He considered Samuel Alito a problematic nominee because “he wears his conservatism on his sleeve”
• He has so little regard for the Constitution that he will work with any Democrat he can find to despoil it in the name of Campaign Finance Reform
• He thinks that people will believe that amnesty for illegal aliens isn’t amnesty if he makes them pay money for it.  (that’s called extortion in normal circles and its a crime!)
• He will actually attend the Mexican Nazi Party conference (otherwise known as La Raza)

And some lousy speech is supposed to reassure us?

A Sailor’s Creed

• I am a United States Sailor, and a Warrior first. I fight under the Red, White and Blue of my Fathers and descend from the line of Jones, Decatur and Perry. In my ears rings “I have not yet begun to fight” and “Don’t give up the ship”, and in my veins flows Fire and Gunpowder.
• I will master my profession and demand that my fellow Sailors master theirs. I will follow when led, and lead when able. I will place nothing above the welfare of my fellow Sailors, save my Mission, and no matter what my ship, squadron, station or watch, I will help deliver Defeat to the Enemy.
• With Honor in my deeds, Courage in my heart, and Commitment in my hands, I will do my duty until Victory is in hand and Liberty is secure.

We should all fall to our knees every day and thank God that America still produces men and women who believe in things like courage, victory, liberty, country and service. May God bless and keep them all in the hollow of His hand.

Demography is Destiny and Japan is going to pretty much disappear if trends don’t change:

The number of children has declined for 27 consecutive years, a government report said over the weekend. Japan now has fewer children who are 14 or younger than at any time since 1908.

The proportion of children in the population fell to an all-time low of 13.5 percent. That number has been falling for 34 straight years and is the lowest among 31 major countries, according to the report. In the United States, children account for about 20 percent of the population.

Which pretty much means that Japan has decided no longer to exist:

Population shrinkage began three years ago and is gathering pace. Within 50 years, the population, now 127 million, will fall by a third, the government projects. Within a century, two-thirds of the population will be gone.

Remember when the country we feared taking over everything was Japan?  It wasn’t that long ago.  Everybody figured that we would all end up working for the Japanese, drive only Japanese cars, and they would own all the real estate in the US.  If you haven’t read the novel Neuromancer by William Gibson (1984) I’d highly recommend it, but the whole premise of the novel is that Japan won the corporate wars.  (Just as an aside, this is a wonderful science fiction novel credited with creating the whole cyberpunk genre so its definitely worth the time to read).

Instead Japan has pretty much decided that it won’t exist any more.  Do you think China is going to sit around and let all that nice Island real-estate just sit idle?
