Green Communism

Owning a car opens up possibilities to a person that is beyond their reach otherwise, it opens up a freedom that many millions do not currently enjoy. The ability to find work at further distances from their homes than ever gives them more choices to find lucrative employment opportunities, the ability to find markets and entertainments are also greatly expanded. All this greatly expands individual freedom. If many millions more of the people of India (and around the world) find themselves able to afford this new car, it will incredibly improve their standard of living. It will also force the government to redirect their own efforts to internal improvements to accommodate this rise in cars that will add even more to raising the standard of living in once poor countries.

Green communists do not care about people and these two stories add to the ever growing proof that enviro-communists have gravitated to environmentalism as a replacement for an overt espousal of communist ideals.

If you need any more proof that the concept of Global Warming is less “science” and is more just a replacement for the kind of failed concepts of communism and socialism that is increasingly being rejected by the world, two recent stories helps clarify the point.

In a piece titled “Deadly Ozone From Drive-Thru Mania,” our Miss Hastings pours out her considerable “intellect” into the theory that drive thru windows are destroying the planet and making us a bunch of fatties.
Yeah, it’s all because of … you guessed it… capitalism. Her solution, of course, is to put an end to all this capitalism stuff like all good communists aim to do.
Isn’t this great news? Not to the communists of Greenpeace who are protesting this new product. Green communists are attempting to forever keep the poor in the grinding poverty in which they currently wallow.
Their pals in the media are happy to fan the flames of alarmism over the supposed “global disaster” of this incredible new freedom-promoting car.

  1. What is it with Americans? Why has environment and climate change become a left-right thing? It is absurd that American “conservatives” keep pushing the line of association between “communism” and “environmentalism”! I trust you have blanked out of your memory the environmental devastation caused by the Soviet bloc? I trust that you simply don’t know that environmental concerns were first expressed by English conservatives bemoaning the industrial revolution?

I also trust you are a fan of Durkin’s Great Global Warming Swindle? Well here’s something for you – he is a communist associated with the Revolutionary Communist Party and the Living Marxism network, whose fronts the Science Media Centre and Sense About Science are at the fore of climate change denial!

If you want to read Living Marxism’s stated position on global warming denial and its radical anti-environmentalism (echoed in Durkin’s previous documentary, Against Nature) I would be happy to send copies to you.

  2. While not having seen Durkin’s Great Global Warming Swindle I can’t comment on it. Interesting that you are talking about something from over a year ago and still seem to be upset by it. What in the world is the problem? If you are absolutely sure that everyone believes as you – why are you working so hard to suppress it?

However, the point of this particular post is that the environmentalists and global warmers believe that by giving money to Al Gore or taxing the crap out of every single thing (to use the money for some generic, sweet-by-and-by purpose) is the solution. They blame capitalism for causing global warming – apparently because capitalists have made and sold cars and gasoline. They are absolutely facist in their belief that all knowledge that is not approved by them be suppressed and anyone espousing different opinions be slapped down. They want to remove everything that allows a capitalist society to function.

All these things mean that environmentalism and communism has a bunch in common.

  3. A little late on the reply, sorry. I don’t understand what you mean when you say “If you are absolutely sure that everyone believes as you – why are you working so hard to suppress it?”. I have no power to suppress anything, what is it that you think I am trying to suppress?

My main point is that I am really rather scared at what is happening in the US at the moment. You mention fascism, but it is a fascistic to generalise in order to ridicule, to focus on abstract groups who pose a threat to order without addressing the actual issues.

Agreed that *some* forms of environmentalism have associations with the “left”, but I am confused at your use of the term “communism”.

Is this the McCarthyite “communism” that includes everything you as an individual don’t like? Or is there more substance? Last time I checked, communism was rather weak around the world (including in China, which is authoritarian state-capitalist if anything).

If you are referring to something along the lines of Soviet communism, it is clear from the historical record that they were hardly “green”!!

Similarly with “environmentalists”. Who are these people?! “They blame” etc? What does that mean? Indeed there are many environmentalists from many different political positions. Indeed in the UK and Germany the far right have often had links with “green” groups – all that blood and soil stuff. There are plenty of conservative environmentalists in Europe and the US, who believe that consumerism has eroded traditional values, including respect for nature. At the same time, just as there are anarchist environmentalists, so too there are plenty of conservative Catholics (and the head of the Church of England), who believe that pollution is an affront to God’s planet.

I don’t disagree that there are left wing environmentalists, but I do disagree with crass generalisations that serve merely to promote misunderstanding. What is the benefit of generalising and name calling? Ought you not deal with the actual issues?

  4. Ran into this website while doing some research. Up until very recently, the Communist Party USA was indistinguishable from, say, Green peace’s, I went there today, and nothing green whatsoever. How very odd. I did find a group called green communism, which needs to be seen to be believed. Stolen cartoon superheroes telling people to “overcome the dark forces of a market economy” Go to the footer and Click on OBAMA. It takes you to a video that is narrated by computer generated speech, where historical figures (Washington is one) tell you how great communism is, and how clean the world will be.

For the record, I’m not religious (and don’t like most atheists I’ve met), am not conservative, am not white, am not a Republican, and have not been paid a dime by ExxonMobil or a tobacco company. I’m an Architect.

If you want to see something truly disgusting, start with the one below, then work your way up or down. Then go to their homepage. They describe how to create a global warming crisis, how to rule when they get their way, etc. It is, of course , from the UK. The Europeans invented Global Warming, and are poised to profit from it (one of the papers outlines the need to switch to Climate Change).

Please read them, save them, and pass them around.

P.S. I give away plans for environmentaly sound houses.
