New Jersey – Half Want to Leave

New Jersey – soon to be populated only with state government employees and retirees.

If you live in New Jersey and are reading this post, chances are you want to get out, as a new poll shows that half of all New Jersey residents want to leave the state.
The reasons cited by most of those wanting to leave: high taxes, the high cost of living, and high housing costs. And here’s worse news -half of those wanting to leave are under the age of 50, and 60% aremaking between $50-$60,000.00 per year.
the state is $58 billion in the hole thanks to the promise of “free” health care for retirees.
But in a way, the desire of these folks to leave is partially of their own making. They are the same ones voting in politicians that promise them themoon, who refuse to cut spending, and whosomehow believe that “taxing the rich” is going to provide them with a never-ending stream of revenue.
Yes New Jersey, Atlas isshrugging.

  1. I don’t know why — I’m always surprised that these people vote for policies they can’t live with and then move to a more conservative state where they continue to vote like idiots.

Even a dog doesn’t crap in his own bed.

Look what is happening in NH – the MA exodus northward has resulted in the bluing of the state. Of course the same is said of Colorado with its influx of Californians. They should be forced into re-education camps before any other states should accept them.

  2. Well, I live in NJ and can assure you I have never voted for any incumbent in this state. I definitely do not consider myself as having voted for policies I can not live with. I personally am planning to move my family out of NJ and the interviews I have been on recently are all for positions out of the state.

The bluing you describe is most unfortunate. I think NJ could blame NY for a similar effect since these are the folks that have been moving to NJ for decades.

Not much to be done for it.
